Format: A series of workshops, each with a specific topic
and a limited number of invited experts, will precede the conference. Highlights
of the workshop results and recommendations will form core conference presentations.
sessions will start with an overview paper and the related workshop reports
followed by a number of papers addressing specific items relevant for the
particular theme such as particular issues, results of research work, industry
applications, standardization activities. Conference papers will be by
invitations only. Proceedings (conference and workshops) will be published
by an international publisher to be issued to conference attendees.
Conference Structure: There will be no parallel sessions!
History: The ICEIMT began in the early 1990s when governments
and users in Europe and the USA realized that we all need a better way
to manage the flow of information within and among our enterprises. In
fact, the problem was growing faster than our ability to solve it. The
conferences previously have occurred in Hilton Head, USA, in 1992 and in
Torino, Italy, in 1997. Preceding ICEIMT conferences pointed direction
and identified areas for further research. ICEIMT'02 will sharpen focus
on real challenges and relevant solutions especially in the area of inter-organization
collaborations.
The IFIP International Enterprise Modeling Conference, IEMC’99, occurred
in Verdal, Norway, in 1999. It was the first international conference entirely
devoted to enterprise modeling (see http://www.sintef.no/units/indman/delta/iemc-99/).
Conference Proceedings: Norwegian University of Science and Technology,
1999
Documents: These are the proceedings of ICEIMT'92 and the proceedings of ICEIMT'97.
